Hello mark girls,
I am going to be blogging from Sundance, courtesy of the mark rewards program! We just arrived to Park City, Utah and it is not as cold as I had imagined! The current temperature is 36 degrees, they tell me that this is warm. Our hotel room is unbelievable, I already don’t want to leave. The snow is so beautiful and we can people skiing outside our hotel window.
We just got all of our movie tickets and had a lovely lunch. We have a long list of movies to see over these next four days, and of course we were all too excited to sleep last night. We are taking a brief moment to refresh before heading out to our first movie!
Stay tuned for more updates from Sundance! I will be keeping you posted on celeb sightings and bundled up fashion trends!
Love & Lipgloss,
Hannah

How are you planning for 2010 in terms of meeting your mark selling goals? Can you share any of your tips with other mark Reps that help you manage and grow your business?

Goals to Grow
Now that the New Year is coming up, it’s time to re-evaluate what you can do for yourself as a mark Rep for 2010. The great thing about selling mark is that YOU decide how much you are going to put into your own business and how much money you are going to make. I always use the S.M.A.R.T. system when setting my goals and it seems to work well. The S.M.A.R.T. process has been around for years and includes setting goals that are:

2010 will be a good year to progress my sales! I plan on coordinating more mark parties for friends and family. Participating as a Trendspotter has taught me to focus on my skills and passions and apply them to my business. For example, I have decided to incorporate my baking skills and throw a combined mark and baking party. I will have potluck baking parties so that my friends can show off their favorite recipes and I can introduce them to some great mark products. I recommend a potluck since it is a fun and inexpensive way to have everyone join in the festivities, while you can concentrate on selling mark products. Before you start pitching, it is wise to be aware of your product. Read the Sneak Peek and Magalog and confidently explain the items to your customers so that they feel comfortable purchasing an item.
In addition to knowing your products, know your customer. It’s great for business when you have returning customers. Before the New Year, I’m always super busy with work, parties, shopping and more and so my resolution is to be more organized! A great way to keep your business organized is to log your customer orders. Create a spreadsheet with their personal information, the products they ordered and when they ordered. You will know when they need to refill and you can tell them about new products you think they might like.
Hope these tips help you and your business in the New Year! Good luck!
